These are 50 minute one on one virtual sessions using a HIPAA secure platform. Your treatment is unique to you and our sessions are tailored to your specific life experiences and needs. Sessions are $180. I am able to give you a superbill for potential out of network reimbursement from your insurance provider. I also have a limited number of sliding fee scale slots for individuals with overlapping oppressed identities. Examples of these identities could include BIPOC, LGBTQ+, fat, disabled, and more. These are 90 minute sessions with up to 12 other people and are separated by area of focus. At this time I offer an Anti-Diet Support Group and a Body Trust® group. Please see descriptions below. Group sessions are $65. Feel free to reach out to me for more details about either of these groups. Sliding fees available for groups using the same criteria described under individual therapy. If you are ready to jump into or continue your anti-diet journey and want the support of other like minded folks, this is the group for you! We will process how to live in a diet obsessed culture and how to stay grounded in your anti-diet quest while having a supportive community behind you. Some topics may include diet culture, wellness culture, anti-fat bias, navigating relationships with folks who disagree with your anti-diet journey and many more. This is an open rolling group that will meet Wednesdays. The time is TBD based on group preferences. I am also holding space for a possible once monthly version of this group held on Saturdays.
Body Trust® is a practice created by Dana Sturtevant and Hilary Kinavey and is a strength-based, trauma-informed, scientifically grounded healing modality that encourages movement toward a compassionate, weight-inclusive model of radical self-care to address body oppression, heal body shame and associated patterns of chronic dieting and disordered eating. Some of the topics covered in this group are things like: learning your coping is rooted in wisdom, divesting from diet culture, ending the diet hustle, allowing for pleasure, reclaiming movement, and more. You don't have to be familiar with Body Trust® to join, just a willingness to learn about another way of being in a relationship with your body. This is a 12 week, closed group and take place on Monday evenings 6-7:30pm MST.
